Standard Chartered’s Charity Programme: Every Act of Support Creates an Opportunity to Transform a Future
Between 2020 to 2025, we have supported more than 8,600 youth in learning, employment, and entrepreneurship.

Since 2019, Standard Chartered has Standard Chartered Charity Programmes in Taiwan to support disadvantaged young people, particularly women and visually impaired youth, in developing new skills and improving their opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship. From 2020 to 2025, in partnership with The Garden of Hope Foundation and Taipei Parents' Association for the Visually Impaired (PAVI), Standard Chartered has supported over 8,600 disadvantaged youth to learn, earn and grow. Since 2023, Women in Entrepreneurship (WiE) programme has supported nearly 90 women-led microbusinesses, organised more than 60 professional workshops, provided over 200 hours of mentorship, and invested over TWD 5 million as prize awards.

As Standard Chartered’s global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for disadvantaged young people in the local communities, the collective efforts of the Standard Chartered Foundation, the marathon event, and its runners have successfully raised more than TWD144 million since 2013. Since 2020, runners have been encouraged to make donations in support of Standard Chartered Charity Programmes during the race season.

Standard Chartered Charity Programmes is Standard Chartered’s global youth economic empowerment initiative, established to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion across the communities where the Group operates. The programmes support disadvantaged youth, particularly women and people with disabilities, by helping them learn, earn and grow. In Taiwan, Standard Chartered partners with The Garden of Hope Foundation and the Taipei Parents’ Association for the Visually Impaired (PAVI).
