Every race has its heroes. Behind every unforgettable race is a team of dedicated volunteers. Since 2013, more than 2,500 Standard Chartered employees have contributed as volunteers in bringing the Standard Chartered Taipei Charity Marathon (SCTCM) to life. From cheering runners on and guiding participants along the course to supporting visually impaired runners, assisting at the finish area, and facilitating award redemption, their commitment helps create a safe, welcoming, and memorable race-day experience.
Beyond race operations, Standard Chartered is also committed to sustainability through plogging—a combination of jogging with litter picking. More than 200 employees have formed a plogging team to help keep the race route clean and minimise the environmental impact of the event. In 2027, SCTCM is excited to bring back the 12K Plogging Race category, inviting the public to join the movement and contribute to a greener marathon experience.
