Old Goods Festival

There are so many things that it's a pity to throw away, but they take up space what should we do? In 2025, Standard Chartered will host the first-ever Old Goods Festival, calling on runners to donate second-hand sports equipment for a charity sale. The event advocates the spirit of resource conservation and the repurposing of old items. It’s an eco-friendly and beautiful thing to not waste and let each item fulfill its intended value. On the event day, come visit the Old Goods Festival booth at the Forest Market and shop for charity. The proceeds from the market’s sales, after administrative fees, will be fully donated to the "Futuremakers by Standard Chartered Global Charity Program."

How to Participate:
Runners who register for the 2025 Standard Chartered Marathon can bring second-hand sports items to the Old Goods Festival booth at the pre-race check-in area. Present your items to be examined by the event staff, and once approved, you can donate them. To ensure the items' suitability and value, they will be inspected by the event staff. The event organizers have the final decision on whether to accept the donated items.

• Runners whose items pass the review can set the sale price, with increments of NTD200 per item.
• Donors will receive limited-edition gifts from the event. Those donating shoes will also receive a voucher from New Balance, the race’s apparel partner.
• The items will be priced and sold at the Forest Market booth, with all proceeds donated to the Futuremakers charity program. Any unsold items will be donated to other organizations.
• To avoid an excess of donations, a daily limit of 200 items will be accepted.

Donation Item Guidelines:

• Accepted Items:Running shoes (with laces), sports equipment, with a retail value of at least NTD1,000 when new.
• Items Not Accepted:Worn-out shoes, sandals, high heels, platform shoes, long boots, snow boots, flip-flops, fabric shoes, plastic shoes, sports flip-flops, short rain boots, or boots.
• Sports Equipment Accepted:Sports watches, sports sunglasses, sports backpacks, gym bags, action cameras, smart bands, fascia guns, sports Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth music players, hand massagers.
• Items Not Accepted:Bags that cannot hold an A4 size, wallets, plastic bags, hard-shell bags, non-woven fabric shopping bags, paper bags, plastic bags, rolling backpacks, or luggage.
• The donated items must be at least 90% new, with all parts intact and fully functional.
• Donated items can be from any brand, any size, and any age of use. Please clean and test the items and package them properly before donating.
