Visually Impaired Runner Training Camp
The Standard Chartered Taipei Charity Marathon continues its commitment to supporting young people with
visual
impairments. Under the theme “TOGETHER, WE RUN FURTHER,” the event is dedicated to fostering a more
inclusive and
equitable sporting environment.
Since its establishment in 2013, more than 2,000 visually impaired runners have participated in the
marathon. In 2026,
117 visually impaired runners participated, including eight who competed in the Full Marathon.The Standard
Chartered
Taipei Charity Marathon continues to organise the Visually Impaired Runner Training Camp, bringing together
visually
impaired runners and sighted running guides. Those who are interested in becoming running guides are welcome
to
participate. Through structured training and practical guided-running sessions, participants can develop
coordination
with visually impaired runners, gain hands-on experience as running guides, and prepare for race day while
sharing the
